Chamomile Turf

Following years of trials Tillers Turf have perfected a technique for growing chamomile as a turf. This makes the creation of chamomile lawns instant and much easier.

Chamomile’s finely divided leaves create a feathery appearance, and every time you walk across it, the lawn will release its soothing fragrance into the air.

There are many chamomiles available, but only one is suitable for lawns: Anthemis nobilis, Treneague. This is a very compact type that spreads to form a dense mat. It is non-flowering and grows to a height of approx. 6cm.

The great thing about chamomile is that it doesn’t need any mowing. The occasional clipping keeps any long shoots in control and helps sideways spread. This allows for people with limited space to have a lawn without the need for a mower. Chamomile also lends itself for use on green roofs and in raised beds.

Chamomile Turf - Customer Feedback:
Last June time I took delivery of some chamomile lawn turf from you. I am so pleased with the results I Just wanted to share it with you. The roses are from Peter Beales - Jacqueline du Pre. The perfume of those + lavender + chamomile is unbelievable.

The blackbirds caused considerable damage during the winter months by scratching and pulling it up but I decided to net it and this prevented any further damage. It has now nearly all recovered and spread to cover the damaged patches. Obviously it is wise to net in the cold weather.

Thank you for all the pleasure it is giving me.
