Where you need a turf to stand up to the demands of football and rugby, a high percentage of ryegrass in the mixture is required. Arena Sport is a turf designed with this in mind.
The cultivars of ryegrass we use in Arena Sport have been subjected to relentless wear trials at the Sports Turf Research Institute.
The typical seed mixture used in Arena Sport is:
- 35% Greenway dwarf ryegrass - Lolium perenne
- 35% Greenfair dwarf ryegrass - Lolium perenne
- 20% Broadway smoothstalked meadowgrass - Poa pratensis
- 10% Helena slender creeping red fescue - Festuca rubra litoralis
